Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4:13-14
In today's society it is so easy for us to get distracted, caught up in our daily activities or just tired in our own lives. We tend to forget about others who are suffering. We take so many things for granted, even the simplest things like how easy it is for us to get a glass of clean, fresh water or to take a warm bath or even having clean clothes to wear.
Asia is one of the many areas that experience trials beyond our comprehension, one of which is water borne diseases. An assessment commissioned by United Nations says that 4000 children die each day as a result of these water borne diseases.¹
God has recently put a desire in our hearts to step out of our box and do something to bring awareness of the need for these wells in the rural communities in Asia, and in doing so we can share that Jesus is the ‘Living Water’, the water that gives life eternal. Therefore Martin, Andrea, Todd, and Jakob will be running in a 5K Colour Run race in Ottawa on June 21st 2014. Anyone is welcome to join us in the run and/or donate online. 100% of the proceeds go towards the building of these wells.
We are excited to have Will Monterroza and Edgar Hernandez join our campaign and run with us.
We pray that we can unite to share the gospel and show God’s love by donating to build these wells. We have it in us to make a difference. In Hebrews 12:1 it says ‘Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us’. Let this be a part of your life race. Join with us and let’s help give a clean start, one village at a time.

Jesus Wells increase the health standards of a village, allowing for children to be nourished and animals to be watered. The wells you provide are located in the village or community, so women and children no longer have to walk hours to find water.
With one well you can save an entire village from waterborne illnesses.
Unlike the dirty water from stagnant ponds, streams or old shallow wells, this water is clean and creates an awareness of good hygiene, leading to fewer medical problems and healthier people.
