Hey friends!
Being from the land of 10,000 lakes and loving the amazing water we have here, I want to dedicate my birthday (end of Feb) to providing life-giving water to those who don't have access. This is in remembrance of World Water Day, March 22. I have chosen to do a campaign to build a "Jesus Well" in a village through Gospel for Asia because 1) Jesus is my living water, spiritually, and I want others to have both spiritual and physical water too, 2) five weeks of tromping around sampling chemical- and garbage-filled drinking water (the most pristine water in the area) during a water crisis in south India has introduced me to many people who need this, and 3) this is a way you can help me prevent the water-borne diseases I am studying. The Jesus Wells from GFA are built by local contractors to promote the local economy and keep costs down, are dug up to 200 ft deep to last during drought, and are accessible to the entire village.

About Jesus Wells

Jesus Wells increase the health standards of a village, allowing for children to be nourished and animals to be watered. The wells you provide are located in the village or community, so women and children no longer have to walk hours to find water.
With one well you can save an entire village from waterborne illnesses.
Unlike the dirty water from stagnant ponds, streams or old shallow wells, this water is clean and creates an awareness of good hygiene, leading to fewer medical problems and healthier people.
