For this year, join me in providing a Jesus Well to a village. Health and the underserved have always been close to my heart, and I would love it if together we could make a difference in this life and in eternity. For more, read below. Thanks!
Water is a precious resource, yet I don't think about it that much. I turn on the faucet and there flows the water--clean, temperature-adjusted, and fluoridated (unless one is in Portland, as I learned last year). I have little to no experience in treating waterborne diarrheal illnesses. It just doesn't happen here.
Unhappily, many people in the world don't have the luxury of indoor plumbing, much less disease-free water. Women must walk miles each day to gather enough water for daily chores, and the water they find is frequently contaminated. For other people, they technically have access to water right in their village, but they are not permitted to use the well or pump because of their social background. GFA's Jesus Wells are open to all comers and provides easy access to water. Each Well is also inscribed with a verse talking about Jesus, the Living Water, opening the door to conversation about why this well water is being given out freely and how to obtain living water so one will never thirst again. So not only are we taking care of a person's very real physical need of H2O, we are also treating the person holistically by ministering to their spiritual needs. Please join me today!

Jesus Wells increase the health standards of a village, allowing for children to be nourished and animals to be watered. The wells you provide are located in the village or community, so women and children no longer have to walk hours to find water.
With one well you can save an entire village from waterborne illnesses.
Unlike the dirty water from stagnant ponds, streams or old shallow wells, this water is clean and creates an awareness of good hygiene, leading to fewer medical problems and healthier people.
