We are so blessed by the work of Gospel For Asia and their focus on bringing Christ's message of hope and salvation to the multitudes in Asia. They work & give in practical ways that matter most to the people there in need. GFA also keeps more of their donated resources going to help where the donors intend by encouraging support for missionaries on native soil. This makes so much sense since excessive money is required to send foreigners who must then fight language and cultural barriers in order to reach people for Christ.
So why a Jesus Well? I can't stand the thought of having to give my little ones water that I KNOW to be contaminated! (WATCH THE VIDEO BELOW!) How awful it must be for Asian Mamas, on a regular basis to have to choose whether to give their children water that will likely make them ill, or to just listen to their thirsty cries. The benefits of a Jesus Well stretches to an entire village and beyond AND introduces them to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. What an opportunity for us all to take part in!
While looking at starting a new business venture in hopes of finally paying off our long-standing debt and then, eventually replacing my husband's income so we can "Bring Our Daddy Home," starting a campaign through myGFA is our way of keeping our hearts from falling towards any love of money or being deceived by riches. We wish to make heavenly investments rather than store up treasure on earth, where moth and dust destroy and thieves break in and steal.
With that in mind, we're committing to give half of our profits made through our business, to buy Jesus Wells* for villages in Asia who need them most...clean, filtered water, bringing health and hope to the people while directing them to the one who can offer Eternal Hope! (The other half will be spent paying off debt and then "Bringing Our Daddy Home" so we can work more closely as a family, able to spend more time busy with the things of the LORD together.)
May Christ be glorified in all we do and take part in and may we ever draw only closer to the Father as we pray for the same for all those precious souls on Asian soil!
* "Gospel for Asia," and "half of our profits" are permanent commitments we are making here. On the other hand, specifically "Jesus Wells" is for now and is subject to change to another option within the ministry as we feel the Lord leading.
Thank you for any part YOU take in helping to raise funds for Gospel for Asia!
Read below to learn about where donations go.
Jesus Wells increase the health standards of a village, allowing for children to be nourished and animals to be watered. The wells you provide are located in the village or community, so women and children no longer have to walk hours to find water.
With one well you can save an entire village from waterborne illnesses.
Unlike the dirty water from stagnant ponds, streams or old shallow wells, this water is clean and creates an awareness of good hygiene, leading to fewer medical problems and healthier people.
About GFA World
Since 1979, GFA has existed to fulfill one passion: See communities in Asia and Africa discover the same joy, hope and lasting peace we’ve found in Christ.
We serve to equip missionaries to minister throughout Asia. The projects funded through myGFA each play a significant part in helping missionaries serve more effectively and in transforming communities with the love of Christ.
GFA World is dedicated to the most effective and efficient stewardship of resources, according to 1 Corinthians 3:12-14. Contributions to GFA are income tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law. All gift options represent GFA's actual ministry efforts to meet the diverse needs of individuals and communities. GFA World seeks to use contributions raised for a particular ministry in furtherance of that charitable objective, but retains control and discretion over all donated funds to further its overall charitable objectives.
