Hello, my name is Jake and I am eleven years old. I am the leader of a team of kids that love God and people all over the world. We call ourselves the Stormers because our goal is to storm the world for Christ. I want to tell you how the idea for this campaign came about.

One day us Stormers were having a meeting and we started to talk about people here and around the world who do not know God and lack many basic necessities of life, (such as people in Asia) or older people who need help mowing the lawn. We wanted to serve and raise money for people like this so we could be a witness of Christ to them. We came up with a lot of ways to raise money for people in need, like last Christmas when my family and I decided to give up what we would normally get in our stockings and use the money instead to give to the poor and needy, as a gift to Jesus (based on Matt 25:40, “Truly I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.”). So on Christmas morning we got up and went out to our stockings, which instead of gifts, held money, counted up all the money (and our parents added some extra), and together searched the Gospel for Asia website for gifts we could give to the people in Asia. We bought chickens, rabbits, mosquito nets, Bibles, gospel tracts, a water filtering system, and blankets. It was great! This year we will do the same thing but are also asking our family members to not give us as many presents and instead give the money to this campaign to help the street kids in Asia.

Another idea we have is to find someone in our area who is in need, like a widow, and spend a day serving them (mowing the lawn, fixing up their house, etc.). All of the Stormers, and any of their family and friends who want to participate, will go out and find people who will sponsor them for their day of service. We will direct all the sponsors to go to this website and donate their contribution directly to our campaign to help street kids through GFA.

The wonderful thing about GFA is that 100% of the money you give goes directly to the people in need. There are no administration costs.

Our goal is to raise $10,000 to help rescue street kids in Asia. That may seem like a lot of money for a group of kids to raise, but with your help and our great God, anything is possible!

Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
