The Leap of Faith
August 18 Update: Praise God! How faithful was He in finishing this work! Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for he is faithful that promised. - Hebrews 10:23. Thank you for your partnership in this journey; for praying, sharing, encouraging, uplifting and giving. Please continue to pray for the many missionaries who will now be able to travel to spread the name of Jesus and give hope and encouragement to the very precious people of Asia. May God bless you all.

What is the Leap of Faith?
The “leap of faith” happened on July 1st, 2013, because of our love for Jesus Christ. On that day, we, Dany Dias of L’Orignal and Janine Jalbert of Vankleek Hill made our very first skydiving jump at the Gatineau-Ottawa Airport in Gatineau, Quebec, surrounded by family members and friends. This, however, was not our first leap of faith, as the first one was by far the hardest – abandoning everything to something so unknown, yet so freeing – rendering our hearts to Jesus. In a world that seems so dark and full of misery, there is hope.
Being a Christian is certainly not for those who are faint of heart, it takes courage, patience and most of all love.
Both of us are teachers, and each day is given up to the Lord in order to see the tomorrow in every student's eyes and with prayer, this can be easily accomplished.
With this event, we are passionately reaching out to the community, as we have a heart for those who are in the mission field, and need to get the gospel out to those who live in difficult areas. Therefore, we are hoping to buy bicycles for the missionaries to be able to travel from town to town with more ease. A heavy-duty Indian-made bicycle can be a wonderful blessing for $110.00. They are a reliable transportation, easy to repair and allows the spread of the gospel to more people and in more unreached villages. We would LOVE to raise enough to purchase 100 bicycles...we know this is possible with God.
Remember that 100% of your donations goes to the mission field! Thank you so much!
“We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

Help Missionaries Go Farther, Faster
Many GFA missionaries spend arduous hours walking from one village to another. With a heavy-duty bicycle, a missionary can carry loads of Bibles, or even colleagues, over rough roads and rugged terrain to minister to people in need.
Every $110 you give provides a heavy-duty bicycle to a local missionary and makes them more productive, so they can double or triple the number of people they minister to for the sake of God’s kingdom.
Bicycles are given to GFA missionaries. Bicycles are also given through gift distribution programs to help the poor earn a better living or get to school from far distances. Through these gifts, people experience Christ’s love.
About GFA World
Since 1979, GFA has existed to fulfill one passion: See communities in Asia and Africa discover the same joy, hope and lasting peace we’ve found in Christ.
We serve to equip missionaries to minister throughout Asia. The projects funded through myGFA each play a significant part in helping missionaries serve more effectively and in transforming communities with the love of Christ.
GFA World is dedicated to the most effective and efficient stewardship of resources, according to 1 Corinthians 3:12-14. Contributions to GFA are income tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law. All gift options represent GFA's actual ministry efforts to meet the diverse needs of individuals and communities. GFA World seeks to use contributions raised for a particular ministry in furtherance of that charitable objective, but retains control and discretion over all donated funds to further its overall charitable objectives.
